Your voice. Your data. Your choice.

stitchtalks is currently in TestFlight alpha. This policy applies to the alpha and will be updated for the production release.
stitchtalks is a small, independent app made by an individual developer. We try to collect as little as possible, store it safely, and tell you plainly what we do with it. If anything below is unclear, write to us at contact@stitchtalks.app and we'll explain or fix it.
What we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and a Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
Voice recordings
The core function of stitchtalks is to record your voice. Audio you record inside the app is uploaded to our cloud storage so that you can play it back from any of your devices. Each recording is tied to your account; nobody but you can access it.
Content you create
Titles, scripts, notes, event names, slide PDFs you upload, flashcard text labels, and other metadata you enter while using the app. These are stored alongside your recordings.
Technical data
When the app crashes or errors occur, we may receive basic diagnostic information (device model, OS version, app version, a short error description) so we can debug. No audio or personal content is included in crash logs.
What we do not collect
- We do not run advertising trackers or analytics that profile you.
- We do not transcribe your audio or read your recordings.
- We do not share or sell your data to third parties.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or location.
Why we collect it
- Account info — to identify you across devices and keep your recordings tied to a stable identity.
- Audio + content — to provide the service. Without storing them we cannot play them back to you.
- Technical data — to fix bugs and improve stability.
Where your data lives
Your recordings and account data are stored on Supabase, a managed Postgres + object storage provider. Data is hosted in their cloud infrastructure (primary region: AWS US East). Supabase's security and privacy practices are published at supabase.com/privacy.
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth (with Google as an identity provider). When you sign in with Google, Google's privacy terms apply to that interaction: policies.google.com/privacy.
Microphone access
stitchtalks requests microphone permission so it can record your voice. The app will only record when you tap the record button. It does not listen in the background.
Sharing
We do not share your recordings or account data with third parties, except:
- Service providers we directly use to operate the app (Supabase for storage and database, Google for sign-in, Apple/Google for app distribution and in-app purchases). These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own privacy commitments.
- Legal requirements — if we receive a valid legal request (subpoena, court order), we may have to comply with applicable law.
Your rights
Delete your data
You can delete individual recordings and stitches from inside the app at any time. To delete your entire account and every associated recording, go to Settings → Delete account inside the app, or email contact@stitchtalks.app from your registered address. We will remove your data within 30 days of request.
Export your data
You can export your audio takes from inside the app (MP3 export is available on Lite and Pro plans). For a full data export of your account metadata, email us and we will provide a JSON dump within 30 days.
Access and correction
Your account profile (display name, etc.) is editable inside the app. For corrections to anything else, write to us.
Children
stitchtalks is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
International users
stitchtalks is available globally through the App Store. By using the app you consent to your data being processed in the United States, where our service providers operate. We do not transfer personal data outside what is necessary to provide the service.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid subscriptions (Lite and Pro plans) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive limited transaction information (subscription status, plan, renewal dates) but do not see your credit card details. Apple's terms apply to the payment itself.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes (e.g. new categories of data collection), we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
